Dual Rod drill rods are designed for demanding HDD rock drilling applications, where standard drill rods are not sufficient. This system uses a multi-component construction that allows independent operation of the outer steering rod and the inner drive shaft. The outer rod supports steering, stabilization and directional control, while the inner drive shaft transfers torque directly to the rock drilling tool, such as a Tricone bit or other rock drilling head. These rods are suitable for professional HDD works in solid rock, cobbles, compact soils and difficult geological conditions. They are used in All Terrain / Dual Rod systems for pilot drilling and demanding trenchless construction projects. The rods are manufactured from certified heat-treated alloy steel, grade S135. This steel grade provides high fatigue resistance, tensile strength and torsion resistance, which are essential when working under high torque and heavy-duty drilling cycles.
