La Cippatrice Skorpion 250 R/90 serve per sminuzzare rami e tronchi di alberi aventi un diametro di 250 mm.
Questa cippatrice è incassata su di un telaio uniassiale, creato appositamente per essere trainato su strade boschive e di campagna. La troviamo anche nella versione avente un sistema trifasico di sospensione per trattori (senza telaio uniassiale).
Skorpion 250R/90 è stata creata per essere utilizzata con trattori aventi una potenza di 80 KM.
Il sistema tagliante è rappresentato da un disco con 2 oppure 3 coltelli (con lama bilaterale). La cippatrice è provvista di un sistema d’avviamento idraulico di rulli che servono a caricare il materiale, tale sistema viene avviato mediante una pompa idraulica.
L’innovativa soluzione di posizionare il diffusore di carico ad una angolatura di 90° rispetto alla direzione di guida, permette contemporaneamente di trasportare la cippatrice ed il rimorchio mediante un solo trattore.

The essential equipment of the chipper includes a hydraulic propulsion system that drives the feeding rollers and is driven by its own hydraulic pump. There is also a possibility of equipping the chipper with a unit for receiving the hydraulics from the tractor. Standard models also have a lever system of the hydraulic divider that can change the direction of the feeding rollers. The chipper may be also additionally equipped with an electronic system of work control, protecting the machine against excessive duty through temporary stopping the feeding.

Chips made by Skorpion 250 R/90 can be used as a solid fuel for heating in buildings (burning in ovens/stoves), as raw material to produce compost, for decorative purposes in gardens, parks, etc., and after additional disintegrating in a mill for production of pellets and briquettes.
